DESCRIPTION:Subject: [CCPBA] Wildland Firefighter/ firelighter S130 trainin
g Sept 13\n\nHello Central Coast PBA! \n\nWe are excited to announce that
we will be hosting an S130 field day training in mid September. This field
training is for those who are interested in obtaining their Basic Wildland
Firefighter Type 2 (FFT2) qualification\, and is required alongside some on
line classes and a pack test (directions are attached). This class will con
sist of a full day in the field\, and involves limited physical activity (h
ose lays\, shelter deployment\, taking weather etc). \n\nThis certification
is not a requirement for most CCPBA burns\, but agencies such as State Par
ks and certain landowners do require it\, and it is a great way to get a se
nse of what it means to be on the fireline\, and gain some valuable field s
kills focused on wildland fire and prescribed fire operations.\n\nIn additi
on\, if you would like to just take the training for experience and not for
your FFT2\, that is great\, all are welcome. If you'd like to help be an i
nstructor for the day\, add your name under the instructor tab of the sprea
 dsheet.\n\nWhen: Sunday September 13th\, approximately 9am - 4pm\nWhere: Gl
en Devon Ranch\, Big Sur\, CA\nSuggested donation: $40 (scholarships availa
ble). Funding for the class is provided by a grant from NOAA.\nHow to regis
ter: Please sign up here  \n\nExact location and other details\, including
payment link\, what to bring\, will be sent out ahead of time to those who
are signed up for the course.\n\nHope to see you there!\nCentral Coast Pres
