Module 1

What the Incident Qualification Card Is For

An Incident Qualification Card documents the wildland fire and prescribed fire positions a practitioner is currently qualified to perform. This tutorial walks the applicant through the basic request process, what documentation should be ready, and how to check position readiness before submitting a request.

Training

Upload course certificates and records that support the position requested.

Experience

Provide incident, prescribed fire, or project experience that supports position currency and competency.

Verification

Make sure task books, evaluations, fitness, and contact information are complete and current.

Important: Do not request a card until your documentation supports the position requested. Missing documents slow down review.
Module 2

Applicant Eligibility

Before starting the request, the applicant should confirm membership, identity information, training records, experience logs, and current fitness documentation are ready.

Clean Applicant Checklist

Tip: A clean request packet should allow a reviewer to verify training, experience, task book completion, currency, and fitness without having to chase missing information.
